Policies
We appreciate you choosing Colleyville Florist! Below are our policies concerning deliveries and how we handle various situations. If you have any concerns about these policies or a question not addressed here, feel free to contact the shop.
Due to extreme circumstances, substitutions are more necessary than usual. This is due to many things, but most significantly the following factors:
Labor riots and worker protests in South American countries where a large quantity of flowers are supplied.
Lower quantity of product available due to farms being closed or functioning with reduced staff during planting seasons due to COVID-19.
Continued reductions in international flights and transportation, driving up costs and reducing availability of freight shipping for temperature-regulated products.
Higher demand for product all around as in-person gatherings are still recomended to be limited for non-vaccinated and high-risk individuals as well as a high demand for funeral service flowers due to the toll of COVID-19 and backlog of services within the funeral industry.
Timed Deliveries
We always do our best to accommodate our customers’ delivery needs. However, we are not always able to guarantee delivery at a specific time of day. To request a specific delivery time, please type it into the Special Delivery Instructions field during checkout or call us to ask if the timed delivery is something we are able to do for that day. If you need an arrangement delivered inside a specific window we strongly encourage you to place your order as early as possible. We do not accept timed deliveries AT ALL for major holidays but do take into account those deliveries going to schools or businesses and arrange for those deliveries to be put on an earlier route.
Security
For the safety of all parties involved we do not accept completely anonymous deliveries. If the sender wishes, they can leave the card unsigned. However, if the recipient contacts us to ask who sent the item, we will provide the name of the sender.
Sealed cards or packages of any kind can not be dropped off at the shop to be delivered with your order- we're happy to seal cards and gifts for you after they've been inspected.
If an arrangement is refused upon delivery, the sender will not be contacted and a refund will not be given.
For our driver's safety, we do not enter fenced or gated residential areas without express permission from the homeowner. We will call the homeowner to be let into the gate and leave a message to reschedule delivery if there is no answer.
Funeral Arrangements
Funeral arrangements typically require additional lead-time. For each order going to a church or funeral home we coordinate delivery directly with them to make sure all deliveries are made within the appropriate window. If your sympathy or funeral order requires delivery at a specific time of day, please try to let us know in advance so we can best accommodate your needs.
Delivery to Hospitals
When placing your order, please be sure to include the hospital name and telephone number as well as the name and room number of the recipient. Latex balloons are not permitted in hospitals and will be left off of any hospital deliveries. We will send your gift bouquet in accordance with facility procedures, as hospitals do not allow florists to personally deliver to individual rooms the arrangement will be left at reception for hospital staff to transfer to the room. The reception desk at most hospitals closes at 3pm, so please place your order in plenty of time for delivery on a given date.
Delivery to Schools
Local school policy states that only staff members, not students, can recieve deliveries to the school. Deliveries to teachers and staff will be made before school is let out for the day, but left with the front office. Latex balloons are not permitted.
Delivery to Businesses
All business deliveries are noted with the hours posted on the company's webpage or Google business listing for our driver's attention. If the recipient works specific hours or leaves earlier than the company closes, please let us know in the notes so we can be sure to get it there before the recipient leaves.
In large office buildings or places where there is a reception desk, the arrangement will be left with reception to be passed along to the recipient.
Recipient Not Home
If you have specific instructions for the delivery of your gift bouquet, please note them in the Special Delivery Instructions field during checkout. In all other cases, if the recipient is not at home when we attempt a delivery, we will:
-Call the recipient to schedule an appropriate delivery time and leave a message if they do not answer.
-Leave the arrangement in a covered, secure area of the home only if weather is permitting or with a neighbor. A voicemail and text will be left for the recipient letting them know where their flowers are at.
Incomplete Recipient Information
Missing apartment numbers, phone numbers, and incorrect addresses may make the arrangement undeliverable. Please double check all recipient information before placing an order. If possible, the recipient will be contacted to coordinate delivery, and if there is no answer or we are unable to contact the recipient, the sender will be informed of any delivery issues. Once we get all necessary information the delivery will be rescheduled on the next available route- original delivery date is not guaranteed.
Substitution Policy
Occasionally, substitutions of flowers are necessary due to temporary, regional availability issues. If this is the case with the gift you've selected, we will ensure that the style, theme and color scheme of your arrangement is preserved and will only substitute items of equal or higher value. If a focal flower, keepsake product, or other style-altering aspect of your arrangement is not available, the sender will be contacted at the discretion of the designer.
Inclement Weather Policy
While we generally have agreeable weather here in Texas, we do occasionally get days where the roads are hazardous due to icy conditions. Whenever possible, we will plan ahead for these days and deliver arrangements early. In the case that arrangements are not able to be delivered early, they will be delivered on the first available day where road conditions are safe to drive.
Cancellation
You can cancel your order at anytime prior to completion of the arrangement. If your gift is en route or delivered, we will be unable to cancel the order. Custom-order flowers or tailor-made arrangements will not receive a frefund. To cancel an order or for more questions, please call our store.
